Privacy Policy

Short version: I collect your email address, I use it to email you, and you can leave whenever you like. Nothing is sold to anybody.

WHO I AM

Shiny Object Queen is run by Ashley. You can reach me at queen@shinyobjectqueen.com and a human will answer.

WHAT I COLLECT

• Your email address, if you give it to me through a form on this site.
• Basic email engagement — whether a message was opened or a link clicked. This is standard in email software and I use it to work out whether anything I send is worth reading.
• Your quiz answers are not collected. The quiz runs entirely in your browser. I never see which archetype you got.

WHAT I DO WITH IT

I email you. That is the whole purpose. Expect the five archetypes, occasional notes about what I am building, and honest numbers about how it is going, including the bad ones.

I do not sell, rent, trade or share your address with anybody for their own marketing.

WHO ELSE TOUCHES IT

Two services, both of which have their own privacy policies:

• Hostinger — hosts this site and runs the email list.
• Payhip — handles payment and file delivery if you buy something. Your card details go to them and their payment processor. They never reach me.

HOW LONG I KEEP IT

Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask me to delete it. If you unsubscribe I keep a record that you did so, which is the only way to make sure I do not accidentally email you again.

HOW TO LEAVE

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, no questions, no exit survey.

If you want your data deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, email me and I will do it.

COOKIES

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The email service may use a small tracking pixel to record opens, as described above.

CHILDREN

This is not intended for anyone under 16 and I do not knowingly collect their information.

CHANGES

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it.
